Hey Everyone, Dance Day is coming July 30th. Here's a fun, simple, and upbeat routine you can learn!!! Get some friends together and get up and move! All future guard members please learn this so we can bust it out sometime during the season for fun :D. Cant wait to see you all soon. Remember Camp starts Sat Aug 20.

BYU GUARD AUDITIONS

Hey girls auditions are THIS SATURDAY!

Saturday April 9th
10am-4pm

Auditions will be videotaped for further review.

Cant wait to see you there, don't be stressed out, this will be a fun experience :)

...If you haven't filled out an intent to audition form yet, it's not too late just go to http://bands.byu.edu/forms/intent_to_audition.php

There will also be a second Audition at the end of June for those of you not able to come in April.

Remember if you cant make it to any live audition you can submit a video audition.

(Don't Stress about video auditions! All the requirements are on the web page. We will be sending out links for info on how to do everything for those of you who are intending to submit a video, it doesn't have to be fancy, just use your flip or camera to video yourself doing the requirements in your back yard, and send the file to achatterton@byu.edu)

One helpful hint: how to get to the Cougar marching band hall in the stadium--go in the west entrance across from the parking lot, turn right and go until you see some stairs to your left go up those and down the hall to through the door at the end and up some more stairs to reach the room.

Wednesday April 6th is the last guard clinic before April auditions! Come brush up on you skills and get ready.

This year auditions are scheduled for Saturday April 9th starting at 10am!

Winter Guard Clinics

Clinics start tomorrow night Wednesday January 9th from 7-9pm in the CBMH

Get ready for April auditions, brush up/learn new skills, and have fun! These clinics are a great opportunity for everyone, no matter your skill level. Clinics will be held in the CBMH at the BYU Stadium from 7-9pm on the following Wednesdays.

Come for however long you can as many days as you can/want. Clinics are for current, past, future BYU guard members and anyone else who would like to come. We will work on lots of things; dance, flag, rifle, sabre, whatever you want!

CLINICS!!!!!

Hey Everyone, Clinics will begin next Wednesday evening the 19th of January from 7-9pm in the Cougar Band Marching Hall located in the south west corner of the stadium, stairs to the right if you come in the North west corner and follow the fence down to the end. Feel free to come to all or part of it. I'll have a schedule for you soon of the dates of clinics, but they will always be Wednesday from 7-9 in the CMBH. All previous and prospective guard members are welcome. Love to see you there!

Band Banquet

Hey Girls, Thanks for a fantastic season :) Hope everyone had a great break. Don't forget about the band banquet coming up on January 14th at 6:00pm in the Hinckley Center for all 2010 members. I hope to see you all there.
